Sunntigerspitze

Sunntigerspitze is a mountain summit in the Karwendel range that rises to 2,321 meters. The route winds through alpine meadows and rocky terrain with exposed sections that demand careful footwork.

This peak was part of historical trade routes connecting Alpine communities through high-altitude passages. Over time, the paths became important links for regional exchange between valleys.

Local mountain festivals take place near Sunntigerspitze during summer months, bringing together regional communities to celebrate Alpine traditions and customs.

The hike takes around three and a half hours on a roughly 9-kilometer route. Rest stops like Hallerangerhaus along the way help with orientation and recovery during the climb.

The peak's southern exposure causes earlier snow melt compared to neighboring mountains. This creates extended hiking seasons throughout the year.
