St. Othmar unter den Weißgerbern

St. Othmar unter den Weißgerbern is a Gothic Revival parish church in Landstraße featuring a distinctive 80-meter tower of red brick. The building contains three naves, a transept, an ambulatory, and a series of chapels arranged in Gothic style.

Architect Friedrich von Schmidt designed this building, which was constructed between 1866 and 1873 as a major parish project. Cardinal Othmar von Rauscher laid the foundation stone, marking the start of this significant religious construction.

The church is named after Saint Othmar, a figure whose veneration connects to the local area's religious history. Inside, visitors encounter religious artworks by notable artists that shape the spiritual character of the space.

Visitors can explore the church during designated times, with access available on Tuesdays and Thursdays when staff are present. Regular services occur multiple times during the week and on Saturday evenings, offering different times to experience the space.
