Museo della Fantasia, Fantasy art museum in Innere Stadt, Vienna, Austria
The museum displays a collection of surreal and visionary artworks from post-war periods to present day inside Palais Pálffy's decorated halls.
Following discussions between artist Ernst Fuchs and publisher Gerhard Habarta in 2010, the museum opened in January 2011 under President Heinz Fischer's patronage.
The exhibition spaces present works from multiple artistic movements, including the Wiener Schule des Phantastischen Realismus and pieces by Arik Brauer.
Visitors gain access to reception areas with ticket sales, information desk, museum shop, and wheelchair-accessible exhibition spaces throughout the building.
The foyer features designs by Kurt Welther incorporating themes from 'Figaro's Wedding,' creating an entrance experience that matches the museum's fantasy focus.
