Sieveringer Pfarrkirche, Gothic church in Döbling, Austria
Sieveringer Pfarrkirche is a Roman Catholic parish church in Sievering, in Vienna's 19th district. Its Gothic nave and choir with buttresses survive from the medieval building, while the west facade, south portal, tower and roof were rebuilt in Gothic forms in 1896. Inside, the four-bay hall carries an early Baroque cross vault added after the Turkish wars.
The church first appeared in records as a chapel in 1330 and gained parish status in 1348. A comprehensive renovation in 1896 significantly transformed its appearance.
Saint Severin appears prominently on the baroque high altar, marking him as the church's patron and spiritual center. The parish community gathers here for regular worship and celebrations that remain part of the neighborhood's rhythm.
