Stubenbergsee, Artificial lake in Styria, Austria.
Stubenbergsee is an artificial lake in Styria covering about 40 hectares of water. Summer temperatures reach around 25 degrees Celsius, making it one of Austria's warmest lakes.
The lake was built at the foot of Kulm mountain below the village of Stubenberg. It was created as a recreation destination for the Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district.
The eastern shore draws young people to a beach bar and jumping rock, while families gather in designated sandy beach areas and play zones. This section shows how locals spend their leisure time around the water.
The lake is accessible from March through October with free entry available via the GenussCard. Swimming, sailing, and stand-up paddling are among the available activities to enjoy.
A 3-kilometer paved loop trail circles the entire lake, allowing visitors to try roller skating and Segway rides while taking in views of the eastern Styrian hills. This path connects different sections of the shoreline and offers a different way to explore the area.
