Palais Porcia, Renaissance palace in Innere Stadt, Vienna, Austria.

The Palais Porcia stands at 23 Herrengasse between Palais Kinsky and Palais Trautmansdorff, featuring Renaissance arcades in its inner courtyard.

Built in 1546 for Count Gabriel von Salamanca-Ortenburg's descendants, the palace underwent modifications in the 17th century adding Baroque and Rococo elements.

The Administrative Library of the Austrian Federal Chancellery occupies the palace, preserving governmental documents and historical records for research purposes.

While the library primarily serves government employees, visitors carrying valid photo identification can access the reading hall during regular opening hours.

The palace survived the destructive fire of 1683 and maintains its original stone foundations dating back to the Roman period.
