Falkert

Falkert is a mountain summit in the Nock Mountains reaching about 2300 meters high. The terrain features varied slopes and natural formations that create different landscapes across the mountain.

Development of the mountain as a tourist location began in the 1960s, making this remote area accessible to visitors. This transformation started a long history of mountain tourism in the region.

The name comes from a local family with deep roots in this mountainous area. Visitors can taste regional dishes and homemade specialties at the guesthouse, experiencing how mountain communities have sustained themselves.

Access to the mountain is possible via marked trails that begin at the Heidi-Alm parking area and connect multiple summits. Bringing appropriate clothing and gear is important, as weather in high-altitude areas can change quickly.

The mountain transforms dramatically with the seasons, functioning as a ski destination in winter and a hiking and viewing area in summer. This dual purpose means visitors experience it in completely different ways depending on when they visit.
