The monastery church features tall stone walls, round-arched windows, and a prominent tower that defines the religious complex structure.
The church, dating from the 12th century, transformed from an Augustinian monastery through periods of Reformation and Counter-Reformation in the region.
The monastery library contains 3,576 volumes with 5,722 titles, including rare works like Carolus Clusius's Stirpium Nomenclator Pannonicus.
Visitors can access the Batthyány family crypt through the main entrance on the street side, marked by death angel figures and family crests.
The underground crypt houses over 100 coffins, including the ornate lead sarcophagus of Prince Karl Joseph and remains of Hungary's last palatine.
