Schloss Draskovich, Noble castle in Güssing, Austria
The three-story classical castle features a central section with half-columns, Ionic capitals, and wings containing five window axes on each side.
Built around 1804, Schloss Draskovich served as a summer residence for the Batthyány family before becoming the estate of the Draskovich noble lineage.
The castle chapel contains a five-panel altarpiece from 1469, representing the sole Gothic wing altar preserved in the Burgenland region.
Located at Schloßgasse 12, the castle sits 200 meters outside medieval fortifications, surrounded by an 8-hectare green area near the B57 road.
The western facade displays a double coat of arms of the Batthyány and Draskovich families beneath a princely crown, marking noble heritage.
