Schloss Leopoldskron, Rococo palace in Leopoldskron-Moos, Austria.

The palace stands on the shores of Leopoldskroner Weiher lake, surrounded by seven hectares of parkland with views of mountains and Hohensalzburg Fortress.

Prince-Archbishop Leopold Anton von Firmian commissioned the palace in 1736 after accumulating wealth from expelling 22,000 Protestants from Salzburg.

Theater director Max Reinhardt purchased the palace in 1918, dedicating twenty years to its restoration and establishing it as an artistic center.

The palace functions as Hotel Schloss Leopoldskron, offering 55 rooms in the Meierhof building and 12 suites in the historic main structure.

The German government confiscated the palace in 1939, assigning it to Princess Stephanie von Hohenlohe for use as a reception facility near Hitler's Berghof.
