Wilder Berg, Mountain summit in Lainzer Tiergarten, Vienna Woods, Austria

Wilder Berg is a 370-meter-high summit located within the Vienna Woods region, specifically within the protected Lainzer Tiergarten park where multiple marked hiking trails crisscross the terrain. The summit connects several pathways that visitors can follow from various park entrances.

Northwest of the summit, a military shooting range served the two Mauer barracks from 1834. In 1865 a civilian shooting range with a restaurant opened just south of the peak. After World War I the military range was abandoned and leased as a women's convalescent home and then a children's home; the building was gone by the 1930s. A World War II range for the air-signal barracks was demolished around 2000.

The name Wilder Berg ("wild mountain") refers to the wooded hill in the Maurer Wald. South of the summit stood a civil shooting range built in 1865 with an attached restaurant; the Rasthaus Schießstätte am Wilden Berg, rebuilt after 1945, keeps that name alive. Northwest of the hill, a military range served the two Mauer barracks from 1834.

The summit is accessible from multiple marked trails, with the main access points located at various Lainzer Tiergarten park entrances where signs clearly show the way. The hike is moderately demanding and suitable for visitors with basic hiking experience.

The summit lies in the Maurer Wald, a part of the Vienna Woods, between the Faßlberg to the west and the Antonshöhe to the south. At 370 m it is the highest point of the Mauer district part and the third-highest in Liesing, after the Eichkogel (428 m) and an unnamed 377 m hill near Kalksburg.
