Prandtauerkirche, Roman Catholic church in St. Pölten, Austria
The Prandtauerkirche features a baroque architectural design with a curved eastern front that defines the appearance of St. Pölten's Rathausplatz.
In 1707, Princess Maria Antonia Josepha of Montecuccoli initiated the construction of the church and Carmelite monastery, completed between 1712 and 1725.
The church interior contains baroque altars, including a column retable high altar transferred from Harrach Castle and a statue of Maria Immaculata from the 18th century.
Religious services occur daily with specific schedules: Sundays at 9:30 AM, weekdays at 7:00 AM, and special monthly ceremonies on first Thursdays at 6:00 PM.
A side chapel dedicated to Blessed Emperor Karl I was established in 2019, featuring Art Deco design elements and multiple stone steles.
