007 Elements

007 Elements is a modern museum integrated into Gaislachkogl Mountain at 3000 meters elevation, with concrete, steel, and glass structures built directly into the rock face. The building contains interconnected chambers where multimedia installations and film clips are displayed throughout the interior.

Construction began in 2018 with extreme technical challenges, requiring helicopter transport to deliver materials when snow blocked access to the remote mountaintop. The structure was built as a tribute to the action film Spectre, which had filmed scenes in the surrounding area.

The museum presents how filmmakers craft their ideas for James Bond productions through original props, costumes, and equipment from various films. You'll observe how designers and technicians work on the details that audiences experience on screen.

The interior maintains a constant temperature of about 5 degrees Celsius to preserve structural integrity, so bring warm clothing when you visit. Access is available from the Gaislachkogl ski center, and it is wise to check weather conditions beforehand as the facility may close during severe storms.

The building features two dramatically projecting windows that frame views of Alpine peaks where filming took place. From these vantage points you can see the landscape that appeared in the action sequences.
