Morisset Hospital

Morisset Hospital is a large complex of around 100 historic buildings spread across expansive grounds near Lake Macquarie in New South Wales. The site includes patient wards, communal facilities, farming buildings, and recreational spaces that were constructed gradually over many decades.

The hospital was founded in 1908 as a psychiatric facility and started with modest beginnings in temporary structures. Over time, the organization developed a self-contained settlement with buildings for different functions and purposes.
