Muslibegović House, Ottoman residential house in Brankovac district, Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Muslibegović House is a two-story residential building with stone walls, wooden ceilings, and carved ornaments in Ottoman style throughout. The rooms and courtyards display this traditional architecture in every corner.
The house originated after 1750 as a family residence and received a major expansion in the early 1870s with additional rooms and auxiliary buildings. This enlargement shaped the property as we see it today.
The building is named after the family who lived there, and displays rooms as they were once used, with traditional furnishings and objects from daily life. Walking through the different spaces shows how people actually inhabited homes under Ottoman rule.
The site functions both as a museum with guided tours and as a hotel offering rooms that combine modern amenities with traditional furnishings. Visitors can explore individual spaces or use the lodging to stay within the historical setting.
The elaborate wood carvings throughout the house came from different regions and required years of skilled craftsmanship during construction. These imported ornaments show how much attention was paid to fine details.
