Bangladesh Military Museum

The Bangladesh Military Museum is a military museum in Dhaka that documents the history and development of the nation's armed forces. The grounds feature distinct sections for army, navy, and air force, each displaying equipment and documents related to their respective branches.

The museum was founded in Mirpur Cantonment in 1987 and moved to its current location on Bijoy Sarani in 1999 to improve public access. It was established after the Liberation War to preserve the military contributions to the nation's independence.

The exhibition rooms display original uniforms, military medals, and many black and white photographs that visitors often study in quiet reflection. The naval section shows ship models and navigation instruments that reflect daily life at sea.

The museum is located near Novo Theatre and is partially accessible via pathways for wheelchair users. Most visitors typically spend two to three hours to explore all galleries comfortably.

A 3D art gallery presents optical illusions and murals from recent years that have become popular with visitors for photography. A Toshshana Museum within the complex displays gifts received by heads of state from foreign governments during official visits.
