Château Malou

Château Malou is a neoclassical castle located in the center of Malou Park, featuring symmetrical design and formal grounds. The building sits on manicured lawns with a small lake at the front, reflecting classical landscape principles.

A merchant named Lambert de Lamberts built the château in 1776 to replace an older hunting lodge that had stood on the same site. The name Malou was added later when Finance Minister Jules Malou acquired the property in 1853.

The building hosts exhibitions and community events that reflect how the neighborhood values its heritage and cultural life. Visitors notice how the spaces adapt to contemporary uses while maintaining the formal character of a historic residence.
