Kasteel van Meldert

Kasteel van Meldert is a structure featuring Neo-Gothic elements and classical characteristics visible in its stone walls and several towers. The building was designed to serve both residential and educational purposes within its layout.

The building was constructed in 1845 following designs by architect Hendrik Beyaert and evolved from a private residence into the educational institution Sint-Janscollege. A fire in 1877 prompted renovations that reinforced its dual-use character.
