Océade, Water park in Heysel district, Brussels, Belgium
Océade is a water park in the Heysel district with fourteen different slides including Barracuda, Hurricane, and Anaconda. The pools are heated to about 29 degrees Celsius year-round for comfortable swimming.
The park opened in 1988 as part of a franchise from Océade France. The Walibi Group took over the Brussels location in 1992 and has operated it since.
The facility is part of the Bruparck leisure complex where families spend time together swimming and playing. Visitors use the pools and slides as a social gathering place alongside other nearby attractions.
The facility is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with extended hours until 9:00 PM during busy periods. Bring your own towel and swimwear, and wear comfortable shoes since you'll walk between different pool areas.
The Hurricane slide propels riders at speeds around 40 kilometers per hour, ranking among Europe's fastest water slides. Few visitors realize this thrill ride delivers an intense experience that lasts only seconds.
