Mini-Europe, Miniature park in Bruparck, Brussels, Belgium
Mini-Europe is a miniature park in Bruparck that displays around 350 small-scale replicas of European monuments and buildings at 1:25 scale. The models sit on landscaped paths with greenery, water features, and carefully arranged scenery that visitors can walk around.
The park opened on June 1, 1989, following an initiative by Dutch entrepreneur Johannes A. Lorijn. The project cost around 50 million Belgian francs at the time and was built next to the Atomium as part of the Bruparck development.
The Spirit of Europe exhibition within the park presents the European Union through interactive displays, multimedia games, and educational activities.
The park opens daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM and offers reduced admission for children under twelve years old. Visitors shorter than 115 centimeters (45 inches) enter free of charge.
Mount Vesuvius erupts on a small scale and gondolas float through tiny canals in Venice. Wire-guided trucks move through the landscape, adding motion to the scenes.
