The Sint-Michiel-en-Sint-Petruskerk features neo-Romanesque and Byzantine architectural elements, with a 70-meter tower and distinctive natural stone walls decorated with vine motifs.
Construction of the church began in 1893 after Pastor Kintsschots and architect Frans Van Dijk completed their study trip through France and Italy for architectural inspiration.
The apse contains an 1899 Salviati mosaic depicting Christ holding the Book of Life, surrounded by Patriarchs and Apostles in Venetian craftsmanship.
The church stands at the intersection of Amerikalei and Cuylitsstraat, with the rectory connected to the main building through corridors at number 24.
The interior combines colored natural stones, blocked arch frames around windows, and a triumphal arch adorned with a frieze representing the Lamb of God.
