Rivieren Castle

Rivieren Castle is a Gothic stone structure in Ganshoren surrounded by a 10-hectare park with a medieval moat and lake. The building is framed by water features that form a protective ring around its architectural elements.

Construction of the castle began in the 12th century and continued through multiple phases until the 19th century. This long building history shows how different architectural approaches were layered into the final structure.

The castle serves as a venue for educational organizations that support programs aimed at reducing social and economic differences. This role shapes how the space is used today and connects it to community initiatives.

The interior spaces span around 250 square meters and include multiple salons, a historical armory room, and a library. These rooms are available for events and can accommodate different group sizes depending on the occasion.

The German landscape architect Brücke designed the grounds in a romantic style, carefully blending water features with the castle's medieval defensive structures. This design approach created a harmonious relationship between the natural water elements and the historical architecture.
