The Muziekcentrum De Bijloke comprises multiple performance spaces across a sprawling complex, including a main concert hall with specialized acoustic panels and modern foyers.
Originally constructed as a hospital in the 13th century, the building underwent extensive renovations in 2019-2020 to transform into a contemporary music and arts venue.
The center presents more than 120 concerts each season, featuring performances across classical, contemporary, and jazz genres by Belgian and international musicians.
The venue accommodates up to 1,345 visitors and provides professional audio-visual equipment, catering services, and multiple room configurations for various event types.
London-based Arup sound experts engineered the concert hall's acoustics by deepening the floor and installing reflection panels to create precise sound distribution.
