Hollandse Synagoge, Moorish Revival synagogue in southern Antwerp, Belgium.
The Hollandse Synagoge features a striped facade with a central rose window positioned within a massive arch between two square domed towers.
Constructed in 1893 as the first large synagogue in Antwerp, the building endured severe damage from a Nazi V1 flying bomb in 1944.
The synagogue contains a three-aisled sanctuary with women's galleries on three sides and a pipe organ in the balcony space.
Following extensive restoration work from 2017 to 2022, the synagogue reopened with reinforced foundations, new flooring, and renovated exterior elements.
The interior renovation uncovered and restored the original color scheme of mural decorations that remained hidden beneath layers of paint for decades.
