Les Orangeries de Bierbais, Orangery in Mont-Saint-Guibert, Belgium.
The orangeries feature a neoclassical conciergerie and extend across 2.5 hectares of land alongside the Château de Bierbais estate.
Constructed in 1828 by architect Charles-Henri Petersen, the greenhouses became a center for rare botanical specimens and exotic plants during the 19th century.
The site transforms into an artistic space where researchers and creators explore connections between nature and human activities through various programs.
Visitors can explore the remains of the park during the European Heritage Days, scheduled for September 7-8, 2024.
The original greenhouses contained an extensive collection of palms that matched the scale of English collections during the Victorian period.
