Symposium de sculpture sur granit de Laongo

Located 35 kilometers from Ouagadougou, the Laongo sculpture garden features works created directly on site using local granite formations and metal elements.

The inaugural symposium in 1989 brought together 18 sculptors from 13 countries, establishing an international platform for artistic expression through granite sculpting.

The site functions as an open-air museum where artists from multiple continents create permanent works that reflect their cultural perspectives and artistic approaches.

Visitors can explore the sculptures daily from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with guides available to provide detailed information about each artwork and its creator.

More than sixty international artists have left their permanent mark on the natural granite outcrops of Laongo since the symposium's inception.
