People's Park, Urban park in Itaim Bibi, São Paulo, Brazil

People's Park is a 133,547-square-metre municipal park in Chácara Itaim, Itaim Bibi, São Paulo. Its centre is a large open lawn of dry, pale green and tan grass, edged by low green shrubs and a few slender young trees, with a dense line of mature trees and tall buildings behind. Around it are three multisports courts marked for Paralympic sports, a grass football field, a cycling track, a skate park, walking and running tracks, and a life-size chessboard on the ground.

The area was already used for amateur floodplain football from 1930, when the Pinheiros riverbanks were being occupied. The river's rectification, begun in 1938, moved the land to its right bank. For over twenty years about eleven sports associations used it irregularly; the city only obtained the concession in 2016, and the park opened on 28 September 2008 with 231 saplings planted.

The name Parque do Povo (People's Park) comes from the amateur football played on the Pinheiros floodplain from 1930, when young people and adults used the várzea for informal matches. The Jardim Sensitivo continues this hands-on tradition: visitors may smell, touch or even taste herbs such as mustard, coriander, chives, aloe and basil.

The park is open daily and can be visited from early morning through late evening, with entry points from several surrounding streets. Visitors should note that most areas are open and unshaded, so appropriate clothing and water are recommended.

The site received recognition from two heritage protection institutions that added it to their official registers. This dual designation honors its social importance as a location that reflects the everyday life of São Paulo residents.
