Victory Square

Victory Square is a pedestrian zone in central Minsk featuring wide pathways, green spaces, and central monuments arranged throughout the area. The layout creates a structured urban environment where different sections flow naturally into one another.

The square was established after World War II, with the Victory Monument completed in 1954 to commemorate the defeat of Nazi Germany. Its creation marked an important moment during the city's rebuilding period.

The square serves as a gathering place during annual May 9th celebrations, when residents come together to pay respects to military service members and veterans. These events give the space deep meaning in the life of the city.

The square is accessible year-round and can be easily reached from the city's main transportation routes. Visitors can walk around at their own pace and explore the different sections.

Plans include planting local evergreen trees in a horseshoe arrangement to create natural sound barriers across the space. This addition would reshape how the area looks and introduce new green elements throughout.
