Kyiv Reservoir

The Kyiv Reservoir stretches for over 100 kilometers along the Dnieper River, creating one of the region's largest bodies of water. The relatively shallow water feeds the adjacent hydroelectric station and supplies multiple systems downstream.

The reservoir was created between 1960 and 1966 through construction of a dam near Vyshhorod. This major Soviet-era project transformed the region's power generation and water management capabilities.
