Big Bald Mountain

Big Bald Mountain is a summit in New Brunswick that rises to approximately 670 meters above sea level. The mountain sits within a landscape shaped by the Northwest Miramichi, Sevogle, and South Branch Nepisiguit rivers.

The summit formerly served as a fire lookout post where observers monitored the surrounding forests. This function ended when aerial surveillance systems replaced ground-based fire detection methods.

The mountain forms part of the geographical heritage of Northumberland County, connecting multiple waterways essential to New Brunswick's natural landscape.

Visitors can reach the summit by way of established hiking trails that wind through the forest. The climb is easier during the warmer months when snow and ice are absent.
