Kebaowek is an indigenous reserve of the Kebaowek First Nation in Temiscamingue in western Quebec. The territory covers roughly 50 hectares and includes residential areas alongside community facilities.
The community took shape in 1965 when people from dispersed settlements across the region came together to form one reserve. This consolidation created the foundation for what became the Kebaowek First Nation.
The Kebaowek First Nation maintains Algonquin traditions through ceremonies and gatherings that bring people together. The community works to keep the language alive across generations.
A health center provides medical services on a regular basis, including doctor visits and specialized care for residents. Check in advance about access and what services are available during your visit.
