The memorial, dedicated on July 2, 1995, honors 173 Canadian casualties and 9 POW/MIA from their service in the Vietnam War between 1959 and 1975.
The memorial includes inscribed names and messages, serving as a connection point between Canadian and American veterans who fought in the Vietnam conflict.
Visitors can locate the memorial along the Riverfront Trail within Windsor Sculpture Park, directly across from Detroit, Michigan at coordinates 42.3104374, -83.0698286.
Michigan Association of Concerned Veterans funded this memorial after initial attempts to establish it in Ottawa did not materialize.
