York Lions Stadium

York Lions Stadium is a multi-purpose venue at York University in northern Toronto that holds more than 12,000 spectators. The artificial playing surface meets international standards for both soccer and rugby, accommodating multiple sports programs.

The venue opened in 2015 as the host site for athletics during the Pan American Games. Since then it has evolved into a center for professional sports activity in the region.

The stadium serves as a gathering place for supporters of York University teams and two professional clubs that call it home. Visitors experience both university-level competition and international professional sports within the same venue.

The venue is easily accessible by public transit and offers ample parking and accessible facilities for all visitors. Weather conditions vary with the seasons, as winter months benefit from covered protection while warmer months provide open-air experience.

During winter months, an air-supported dome covers the playing field to enable year-round sports regardless of weather. This innovative structure allows the venue to adapt between fully enclosed protection and open-air configuration.
