Scarboro Golf and Country Club

The Scarboro Golf and Country Club is a private facility with 18 holes set across about 144 acres (58 hectares) distinguished by natural obstacles. West Highland Creek cuts through several fairways, creating water features that demand strategic shot-making throughout the round.

The club was founded in 1912 by financier A.E. Ames, representing an early chapter in Canadian golf development. A major redesign by A.W. Tillinghast in 1924 shaped the course into its current form and marked Tillinghast's only work in Canada.

The course represents the heart of membership life, where players from the community gather to participate in a sport rooted in the club's tradition. Its role extends beyond golf, serving as a social hub that defines the local golfing identity.
