Hindu Heritage Centre

The Hindu Heritage Centre is a temple in Streetsville that houses dedicated prayer spaces and educational facilities under one roof. Multiple shrine areas contain statues of Hindu deities, while classrooms and studios are used for language lessons, music, and dance instruction.

The temple was established after land was acquired in 2005 and construction was completed in 2011 with a major opening celebration. This marked the creation of an important worship and community center for Hindu practitioners in the region.

The center made history when the Canadian Armed Forces held their first Remembrance Day ceremony at this site in 2017. This event demonstrated growing recognition and inclusion of the Hindu community within Canadian national observances.
