800 Saint-Jacques Street West, Bank headquarters skyscraper in Quartier international, Montreal, Canada
800 Saint-Jacques Street West is a 40-story glass and steel office tower in the Ville-Marie district of Montreal, Canada. The building serves as the headquarters of a major financial company and occupies a prominent corner in the city's downtown core.
The project started in 2018 after a developer acquired the site in the downtown core. The company that moved in had previously been housed in another building elsewhere in Montreal before centralizing its operations here.
The building sits in the heart of Montreal's financial district, where office towers define the rhythm of the working day. The ground floor is designed to flow into the surrounding streets, welcoming people passing through the area.
The tower connects directly to the Montreal underground network, so it is easy to reach on foot from nearby metro stations whatever the weather. The ground floor has public areas that anyone can enter without going up to the office levels.
One of the upper floors features an outdoor garden, which is rarely found at that height in a city building. The plants and open air so high above the street give occupants a very different view of the city around them.
