Our Chalet, WAGGGS World Centre in Adelboden, Switzerland

The international scouting center sits at 1,350 meters elevation in the Bernese Oberland region, near multiple buildings for accommodation and activities.

Helen Storrow established Our Chalet in 1932 as the first World Centre of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts organization.

The center brings together Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from different nations for leadership development programs, outdoor activities, and international exchanges.

Visitors can access the facility through nearby airports in Basel, Geneva, Zürich, or Milan, with public transportation options available to reach Adelboden.

During World War II, the center transformed its operations to train military skiers and provide assistance to refugees while regular guest activities were suspended.
