Museum of Cultures

The Museum of Cultures occupies Villa Malpensata, displaying collections of ethnic art, oriental pieces, and photographic works across multiple exhibition spaces.

Founded in 1989, the institution began with Serge Brignoni's collection of artifacts from the Far East, India, Southeast Asia, Indonesia, and Oceania.

The institution houses extensive collections of hand-painted Japanese photographs from the 1800s and traditional artworks from South Seas cultures.

Visitors can explore the museum Wednesday through Monday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with different sections including Spazio Tesoro offering free admission.

The museum contains a digitized archive of iconographic materials and maintains research programs focused on art anthropology and museology studies.
