Casinò Lugano

Casinò Lugano is a gaming venue situated on the waterfront of Lake Lugano with table games, slot machines, and poker rooms spread across multiple levels. The interior spaces feature large windows and open layouts that let natural light in and create views toward the lake and surrounding town.

The building was designed in the 19th century by architect Achille Sfondrini as Teatro Kursaal and originally served as a cultural venue. It was transformed into a modern gaming casino in 2002 while keeping its position on the waterfront.

The venue hosted the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 when it operated as Teatro Kursaal, establishing its role in European entertainment.
