Staubbach Falls, Waterfall in Lauterbrunnen Valley, Switzerland.

Staubbach Falls is a waterfall in Lauterbrunnen Valley that drops approximately 300 meters from a hanging valley and creates a fine mist as it descends. The water disperses into spray during its fall, rarely reaching the ground due to wind currents in the valley.

The waterfall was first explored and documented by surveyors in the 18th century, who recorded its height and natural characteristics. These early measurements helped establish it as a notable natural wonder in the region.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe composed the poem 'Song of the Spirits over the Waters' in 1779 after visiting the waterfall.

A tunnel passage behind the waterfall allows visitors to view the cascading water from inside the rock formation. The best time to visit is during spring when snowmelt increases the water flow.

A metal tunnel behind the waterfall allows visitors to experience the cascading water from an internal perspective through the rock face.
