Cima di Castello, Summit in Grisons, Switzerland and Italy

The Cima di Castello reaches 3,379 meters in elevation and sits between the valleys of Albigna, Forno Glacier, and Val Mello.

The mountain established its position as the second highest peak in the Bregaglia Range, marking the natural border between Switzerland and Italy.

The mountain connects the Swiss canton of Graubünden with the Italian region of Lombardy through a network of traditional Alpine hiking paths.

Climbers can access the mountain through the Rifugio Francesco Allievi mountain shelter, located at 1,968 meters southwest of the summit.

The mountain maintains a prominence of 421 meters and ranks as number 87 among 2,797 peaks in the Western Rhaetian Alps.
