FIFA headquarters, International football administration complex in Hottingen, Zurich, Switzerland.
The FIFA headquarters is a building complex in Hottingen, Zurich, spanning two above-ground and five underground levels on the Zürichberg hill. It combines office spaces, conference rooms, training facilities, and administrative areas within modern architecture.
The complex was designed by architect Tilla Theus and opened on May 29, 2007, following a three-year construction period. The project marked a turning point in modernizing the global administrative infrastructure of international football.
The building reflects football's worldwide significance through spaces and areas representing different continents and cultures. Visitors can observe how this spatial design mirrors the international makeup of the organization.
The building is located at FIFA-Strasse 20 and is easily accessible by Tram 6 heading toward Zurich Zoo. Visitors should note that access to certain areas may be restricted to pre-arranged visits or official events.
The complex houses both a standard football field and a beach football pitch, allowing training variety within a single building complex. Many rooms intentionally receive only indirect daylight, creating a specific work environment for concentrated administrative tasks.
