Flore-Alpe botanical garden

Located at 1500 meters above sea level, the Flore-Alpe botanical garden contains over 4000 plant species across its 6000 square meters of mountainous terrain.

In 1923, industrialist Jean-Marcel Aubert established the garden after purchasing a summer residence in Champex, transforming it into a center for alpine botanical research.

The garden holds Class A Swiss cultural property status and functions as both a memory institution and scientific museum, preserving alpine plant heritage.

The garden welcomes visitors from May through October between 10 AM and 6 PM, with admission fees of 18 CHF for adults and 9 CHF for seniors and students.

The Alpine Center for Phytogeography conducts scientific research on mountain ecosystems, maintaining collections from European massifs and other continental regions.
