Ningbo Lishe International Airport is a commercial airport located about 16 kilometers southwest of Ningbo's city center. The facility features a modern terminal building with four floors, parking stands for approximately 45 aircraft, and a 3200-meter runway capable of handling various aircraft types and international operations.
The airport officially opened in 1984 to serve Ningbo's growing travel demands. A major terminal expansion was completed in 2019, introducing a new four-story building that significantly increased passenger capacity and modernized airport facilities.
The airport is directly connected to the city via metro line 2, which is the fastest way to reach downtown. Taxis and airport buses also serve the terminal and connect to various parts of Ningbo and nearby regions.
The terminal features numerous shops, cafes, and restaurants serving both local Chinese dishes and international cuisine, including chains like KFC and Starbucks. Travelers can also use ATMs from multiple banks to withdraw cash or exchange currency.
