Yuehu Mosque, Religious monument in Haishu District, China.
The Yuehu Mosque features traditional Chinese architectural elements with its multiple courtyards, moon gate entrance, and two separate teaching halls.
The original mosque was constructed in 1003 during the Song Dynasty, while the current structure dates from 1699 during the Qing Dynasty period.
The mosque serves as the headquarters for the Islamic Association of Ningbo and remains the sole Islamic center in eastern Zhejiang province.
Located near Moon Lake, the mosque complex contains storage areas, educational facilities, and a prayer hall positioned on the western side.
The architectural layout integrates Chinese design principles with Islamic requirements, featuring a northeast-facing main entrance leading to the front courtyard.
