Tianfeng Pagoda, Buddhist pagoda in central Ningbo, China
The hexagonal Tianfeng Pagoda rises 51 meters high with seven visible stories and features architectural elements characteristic of Song Dynasty construction methods.
Originally constructed in 695 during the Tang Dynasty, the structure underwent multiple reconstructions, with the most significant rebuild occurring in 1144 during the Southern Song period.
The pagoda houses numerous ancient artifacts, including a copper Buddha statue, bronze boxes, and a silver palace model covered in gold from different Chinese dynasties.
Visitors can reach the pagoda by taking metro line 2 to City God Temple station and walking east for 5 minutes from exit C, with an entrance fee of 5 yuan.
During maintenance work in 1957, workers discovered a bronze dagoba from 955 CE at the top of the structure, containing historical inscriptions and religious artifacts.
