Ningbo Banking Guild Hall

The Ningbo Banking Guild Hall is a building in Haishu featuring traditional Chinese architecture with intricate wooden carvings and multiple chambers and stage areas. Its rooms display maritime objects including wooden steering wheels from shipwrecks and scale boat models from eastern Zhejiang.

The structure began in 1191 as a temple to the sea goddess Mazu and underwent multiple reconstructions over time. Fujianese merchants made significant contributions to restoration work in the 19th century that reshaped the building.
