The China Defense League headquarters occupies a protected compound within central Chongqing, featuring preserved buildings from the Second World War period.
During the Second Sino-Japanese War from 1937 to 1945, this location functioned as the central command point for resistance operations in southwestern China.
The site contains exhibits displaying military documents, photographs, and personal items that demonstrate the organizational methods of Chinese resistance forces.
Guided tours in Mandarin Chinese take visitors through the main buildings daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with advance reservations required for groups.
The headquarters contained hidden meeting rooms and escape routes, connected through an underground network that extended throughout different sections of Chongqing.
