Zwieselalm

Zwieselalm is a mountain hut located on a mountainside near Bad Reichenhall, operated as a family business and surrounded by dense forest. The building offers views across the surrounding peaks and valleys below.

The hut has been managed by the Potschacher family since the 1960s, with management passing from one generation to the next. It remains a traditional place for mountain farming and hospitality today.

The mountain hut maintains traditional Alpine dining customs by serving regional dishes and a special Zwiesel liqueur made from local ingredients.

The path to the hut winds through a serpentine forest trail shaded by old spruce and beech trees. Visitors should wear good footwear and be prepared for a moderate uphill hike.
