Rathaus Steglitz, Town hall in Steglitz district, Berlin, Germany

Rathaus Steglitz is an administrative building in neo-Gothic style with a prominent tower located at the intersection of major streets in the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district. The structure now houses district offices, a public library, and various services for local residents and visitors.

The structure was built between 1896 and 1897 and originally served as the administrative center for the rural municipality of Steglitz. Following its incorporation into Greater Berlin in 1920, it remained an important administrative building for the district.

The building displays neo-Gothic features with detailed stonework and pointed arches typical of Brandenburg regional architecture from that era. These design elements shape the character of the square today and provide a historical backdrop in the modern district.

The building is easily accessible by public transport and sits on a busy square, which can make parking difficult. Visitor access is limited to certain hours, so it is advisable to check opening times for specific offices in advance.

Every Sunday the square surrounding the building becomes a popular market for antiques and second-hand goods. This weekend gathering spot attracts collectors and buyers from across the area searching for unique finds.
